Midnight Rose

I know I am way behind in my Doctor Who watching, but Rose was on the latest episode I watched. It was called Midnight. Rose appears 13 seconds into the below clip. Also an interesting to note in this episode, people die from being exposed to the sun, in the 2 previous episodes (Silence in the Library & Forest of the Dead), people died from being in the shadows.

Star Trek: The Experience Closing

Star Trek: The Experience is closing September 1st. This is sad news for me since I was planning a trip to Las Vegas next June to see it. This is also kinda weird timing since there is a new movie coming out in less than a year, which should boost the number of visitors considerably.

Hulk – Did You Know?

Here are a bunch of things I picked up on while watching The Incredible Hulk. I am sure there are lots more that I missed as well. There are minor spoilers, so read at your own risk.

- Piano music on street in Guatemala is from 70s TV series
- When Bruce first turns into Hulk with black out and just light on eyes is a shot from 70s TV series
- Lou Ferrigno (Hulk from 70s TV Series) cameos as the security guard that gets pizza
- Stan Lee (creator of Hulk comics) cameos as the guy who drinks Bruce Banner’s blood
- You don’t want to make me hungry, reference to “You don’t want to make me angry” from the 70s TV series
- Stark Enterprises can be seen in the flashback scenes
- Tony Stark (Iron Man) cameos at the end of the movie
- Tony Stark talks of putting a team together (Reference to Avengers)
- Super Soldier program put on ice (Possible reference Captain America, who was frozen in WWII)
- Purple pants that Betty picks out, Hulk is often in purple in the comics
- “Hulk Smash” is often in the comics
- Thunder clap seen at the end of fight with Abomination is often in the comics
- Bruce Banner starts in South America, where he ended up in last movie, odd since I thought Marvel was basically denying the last movie was made
- General Ross says Banner was on the run for 5 years this is the amount of time that has passed since last movie
- SHEILD is in flashback scenes at the beginning. This is an organization often seen in the comics.

Towards the beginning of the episode “The Poison Sky” when the Doctor was in the Mobile Command Post, he made a call to the Sontarans, the call was also being broadcast on the screen in the TARDIS which Donna was in by herself. Rose flash on the screen in the TARDIS, I am no lip reader so I couldn’t tell what she was saying. Watch it here, Rose appears 5 seconds in.

I been watching Doctor Who since it recently started up again a few years ago. I vaguely remember watching it as a kid, but all I remember is the Doctor running around in caves (I don’t even know if that actually happened) recently however I have actually been liking Torchwood better, especially when James Marsters was on it. Watching the season 4 premiere of “Partners in Crime” I realized more what Doctor Who was missing, he was missing Rose Tyler. She really needs to be back on the show. I was so excited to see her back.

Lost – Season 4 Finale

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD – DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED THE SEASON 4 FINALE

Here are some random rants and raves and other ponderings about the Lost Season 4 Finale “There’s No Place Like Home”

Why is Locke of the island? He is the one who wanted to stay in the first place. Anyways onto some other stuff.

We get to see Walt again, I am wondering how is grandma got away with this, wouldn’t some people have known he was on the plane and supposedly died? Some crazy cousin five times removed who wants to get his 15 minutes, wouldn’t that guy be spilling his beans to every news organization?

Ben’s not dead. Seemed like he was suppose to die after moving the island, but this goes back to my theory from X-Files. Nobody’s dead unless you see the body, and even then you can’t be sure.

Ode to the Tailes. Yay for Hurley playing chess with dead Mr. Eko.

When Desmond came topside on the ship to tell people to abandon ship, did he tell them there was a bomb, cause if I saw a helicopter on the boat, I sure wouldn’t be messing with a life jacket and trying to see how far I could swim.

Yay for Michelle Forbes. I first remember her as Ro Lauren on Star Trek: The Next Generation, more recently she has been on 24. Now she can tour the sci-fi convention circuit forever.

Island themed birthday party for Hurley, yeah his mom really doesn’t get it, or she is just a cruel, cruel woman.

Why did it take Jack so long to have a funeral for his dad. I mean obviously there was no rush at that point, but then a few months after Jack got back did he just wake up and say “Let’s have a funeral for dad today”

That’s all I got, definetly a good 3 episodes, they seemed to have brought back more of the “magic” that got me hooked in the first place.
