Foursquare recently released a new version of the app for the iPhone. The best thing I like is that you can now see your check in history on the app. This is important for me, because the app for me has a tendency to crash. Especially indoors. Now I can see if a check in went through or not.

Limit your iPhone usage

well that’s what AT&T’s Ralph de la Vega is saying people should do anyways. Guess he doesn’t have kids. The quickest way to get someone to do something has always been tell them not to do it. And now we have Operation Chokehold. Way to go Ralph!

Shazam
Jul 12 2008
Shazam is definetly the most useful app I have found so far, and it is free. You just click on it, hit “Tag Now” and hold it up to whatever is playing music and a few second later it will tell you the song, artist, and album. I personally use it for album identification for all my old mp3s, that don’t have a lot of good meta information. The only thing I wish it did have was the track number of the song. Shazam is not flawless, but then I was playing a recording of No Doubt covering “End of the World” by REM at the MTV 1999 New Years Eve party.
