Billie Piper & David Tenantand bring David Tenant with you. Billie Piper it’s time for you to come back to Doctor Who, it’s been a really long time since you were a series regular, we miss you. While you are at it drag David Tenant back too. You can have the writers to chalk the 11th Doctor up to a bad nightmare, it really doesn’t matter how they do it, just come back to Doctor Who. Billie Piper, you and David Tenant had such great chemistry on Doctor Who together. You need to make it last a few more seasons.

Doctor Who - Matt Smith & Karen GillanThe new season of Doctor Who has started up with Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor. The first episode of the new season, is appropriately called “The Eleventh Hour”. I liked Matt Smith as the Doctor, I liked his new companion Karen Gillan as Amy Pond, I like the story, I liked the new opening credits scene. But I still want David Tennant back. I really don’t think anything will change my mind from that.

You Have 0 FriendsThe latest episode of South Park is a fantastic rip on Facebook and the never ending pull of time it takes from us. I don’t want to say to much with out giving it all away, but there is a great inclusion of Tron as well. If you enjoy South Park, Tron or Facebook I highly recommend it. Even if like me you haven’t watched South Park in years.

Lost NumbersIn the Lost episode “The Substitute” the reason behind the numbers has been revealed, well mostly at least. The Man in Black said “Jacob had a thing for numbers” so maybe there is more to come. In a previous post we had talked about Jacob being in the lives of those on Oceanic Flight 815, before they made it to the island. Looks like he has been in the lives of many others as well. The Man in Black, aka fake Locke, took Sawyer (a treacherous climb to be sure) to a cave and revealed “That’s why you’re here. That James is why you’re all here” There were a ton of names (looks like at least 416) on the walls, most of which were crossed out, but “Not all of them”. These are all that was left. #4 – Locke #8 – Reyes #15 – Ford #16 – Jarrah #23 – Shepard #42 – Kwon – “I don’t know if it’s Sun or Jin” says the Man in Black Everyone except Locke on this list was still alive when the numbers were revealed. So 3 ideas for Locke still being on the list. 1 – Jacob didn’t back to the cave yet to mark him off. 2 – Jacob didn’t know he was dead. 3 – Locke is still alive. There are lots of people still alive that were not on this list (Desmond, Claire, Kate). So why are only some still left not crossed out? Will that be revealed?

Absolute JusticeSmallville really is a different show in seasons 8-9, than it was in the first 7 seasons. I think seasons 1-7 & 8-9 are both really great, and I don’t prefer one over the other, but is really nice that the show is maturing and bringing different elements in. In seasons 1-7 is was really about Clark coming into his own. Learning about his powers and learning about responsibility. The Spider-Man quote definitely comes into play. With great power comes great responsibility. I think Jonathan Kent was really responsible for a lot of that learning. In seasons 8-9, Clark is learning that is more than just about him though. Sometimes he needs help, but even more than that, he needs to be a leader, a great leader in fact. In episode “Absolute Justice” the members of the Justice Society really tried to make this clear to Clark. Dr Fate: “You will lead this generation” and “It will be a silver age of heroism”. Stargirl: “So what do you call your team anyways?”. Hawkman: “You don’t do this for glory or vengeance”. Great leaders don’t lead to be great, they lead because they see the need is there, and because they do what is right and just. Sometimes great leaders are thrust into power, not of their own accord, but because those around them know they can do the job and do it well.
