It seems like a lot of people are not enjoying the Green Lantern movie. I would like to say give it a shot, go see it. Is it the best movie out there, no, but it is certainly better than a lot of movies and better than a lot of superhero movies. I think it is pretty well put together, and for a movie that needs to be heavy on special effects they did a really good job with them. I would give Green Lantern a solid B. Oh and stay for the credits there is a bonus scene.

Angry Birds Seasons just released a summer update today. It has 30 levels and you can only play a new one each day. I really like this format (Rovio did it with Christmas too). With only one new level each day it really makes you strive hard to get a really good score. Competition with my friends is very fierce, and score updates are texted throughout the day. So far in level 1 there are pigs in sunglasses and pig shaped clouds. Kudos to Rovio for releasing another great update to a great game.

We just went out and rented Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 – Rodrick Rules. The kids love it. They have read all the books, so they know what’s going on and thought it was a good movie. It is enjoyable as a parent to not always have to watch cartoons. If your kids aren’t into these books yet i recommend picking them up. They are about a middle school kid, his buddy, tortuous big brother and their adventures. There are a few mild bad words and some stuff the brothers and friends do to each other in the movie I would not encourage as a father (pranks and such), but we talk about those as they come up. I definitely recommend getting a hold of this movie. Of course I would say start with #1 first. I give this movie an 8 out of 10.

That’s right in 2020 there will be 262 working days. Most years only have 260 or 261. So get ready for 1 extra day of getting up early.
